Ninety Nine Restaurant “Hits Home” with a donation to the Boys & Girls Club and the Pine Street Inn on “Ninety Nine Night” at Fenway Park

Boston, MA (August 26, 2009) - Ninety Nine Restaurants , the official family restaurant of the Boston Red Sox, celebrated their 8th annual “Ninety Nine Restaurant Night” at Fenway Park on August 25th when the Boston Red Sox took on the Chicago White Sox. At the game, Ninety Nine Restaurants s donated $99,000 to the Boys & Girls Club and $47,000 to the Pine Street Inn.

Steven Logan of Nashua, NH, the winner of the Ninety Nine’s Fenway Fantasy Sweepstakes, threw out the first pitch and also won four pavilion seats as part of the sweepstakes. In addition, Zachary Barrows from the Boys & Girls Club of Cape Cod started the game with the official “Play Ball!” announcement.

The $99,000 donation made on August 25th to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America was raised through various in-restaurant fundraisers through the helpful generosity of their guests and team members. Accepting the donation on behalf of the Boys & Girls Club were Vice President of the Boys & Girls Club of America Glen Staron and Regional Service Director Jim Hurley. Ninety Nine Restaurants s recently won the National Restaurant Associate’s Good Neighbor Award for their work with the local chapters of the Boys & Girls Clubs.

The $47,000 donation was also raised by the Ninety Nine Restaurants through an in-restaurant fundraiser which set out to raise funds for the Pine Street Inn, New England’s largest resource for homeless men and women. Accepting the donation on behalf of the Pine Street Inn was president Lydia Downie and Vice President of Development Alicia Ianiere. This year marks the 29th year the Ninety Nine Restaurants has been involved with the Pine Street Inn.

“The Ninety Nine is proud of our longstanding relationships with wonderful organizations like the Boys & Girls Club and the Pine Street Inn,” said Ninety Nine President John Grady. “Each Ninety Nine Restaurants has a relationship at the local level with the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and this year marks the 12 year anniversary of our relationship. We know these donations presented at Ninety Nine Night help these worthy institutions, as they rely on the support of both the community and Ninety Nine Restaurants s.”

The Ninety Nine Restaurants distributed over 300 tickets for a special group of people to join them on Ninety Nine Night at Fenway Park. The group included 99 kids from various Boys & Girls Clubs, 9 of the Ninety Nine Restaurants ’s top performing General Managing Partners and over 199 winners of the Fenway Fantasy Instant Win Sweepstakes.

To continue their affiliation with the Boston Red Sox, the Ninety Nine Restaurants s offer a free kid’s meal from the kids menu for every adult entrée purchased on the day after a Red Sox victory. The popular Red Sox Win, Kids Eat Free promotion began on June 8th and runs through the entire baseball season.

Beginning on Sunday, August 30th, the Ninety Nine is proud to announce a brand new promotion – 9 Entrees for $9.99 each. The nine new entrees include great items like Balsamic Grilled Chicken, Sirloin Tips & Chicken Tenders Combo, and Sausage Al Forno.
